"Yoga is a personal affair, and the Yoga teacher is in a privileged position. Physically, mentally, emotionally and sometimes spiritually he has access to people in ways that are very rare in other fields. Very often one hears: 'Since I have been attending Mr. A's classes my life has been transformed. I am a happier, healthier person.' Teachers can sometimes discern that pupils are deriving a very deep personal benefit from their classes."
